Admission and Graduation

General Admission Policy

  • Company incorporated under the following:-
    • Companies Act 1965;
    • LLP Act 2012;
    • Business Act 1956 or;
    • Others (which is at the sole discretion of MTDC Steering Committee)
  • Minimum paid-up capital of RM20,000.00 except for Enterprise company;
  • Must be in operation for at least three (3) months;
  • Encourages collaboration with local universities, research institutions and industry players;
  • Company will be required to provide data to MTDC as and when required.  

MSC Status Company

  • Comply with all General Admission Policy;
  • The company should posses necessary approvals and licensing requirements from the relevant authorities accrediting its MSC status;
  • Clear and defined business vision;
  • Operates in a legal and ethical manner, complying with all such statutory, regulatory and/ or licensing requirements, as may be applicable including company formation and protection of Intellectual regulatory and/or licensing requirements as may be applicable including property rights.

Technology Based Company

  • Comply with all General Admission Policy;
  • Industry cluster is listed in the technology listing provided by MOSTI and/or approved based on MTDC Management assessment.

Non-Technology Based Company

  • Comply with all General Admission Policy;
  • Companies that are allowed admission include but not limited to the following list:
    • Accounting Firm
    • Audit Firm
    • Secretarial Services
    • Advertising and Design House
    • Legal Firm
    • Sports & Recreational Operator
    • Training House
    • Architecture
    • Government agency
    • University Faculty or Research Institute
    • Non-governmental Organization

 

UiTM-MTDC Technopreneur Centre

  • Comply with all General Admission Policy;
  • Majority Bumiputra owned companies.

GRADUATION POLICY

General Graduation Policy

Company may graduate from the Technology Development Centre (TDC) Programme if it has met two or more of the following conditions:

  • The business reaches the maximum allowable stay in terms of specific time limit (which is at the sole discretion of MTDC Steering Committee)
  • Space requirements of the company exceeded Technology Centre capacity;
  • Company reaches/ achieves their tenure/ milestones;
  • Upgrade from Technology Garage lot to Enterprise lot;
  • Enterprise lot tenant upgraded to bigger facilities outside the TDC;
  • The company business no longer requires or uses MTDC business assistance.       

 

Technology Garage

Maximum tenure for graduation is 3 years. However, the Management of MTDC has the sole discretion to extend the tenure based on company’s performance.

 

Enterprise

No specific time frame for graduation from this space type.

 

TERMINATION /EXIT POLICY

Tenants shall be terminated from the Technology Development Centre due to:

  • Failure to pay monthly rental and/or services fees and/or;
  • Violations of tenancy agreement and/or;
  • Violations of law;
  • Change of company activity/business model/management without prior information to MTDC
